They aren't that powerful. They can talk to each other across any distance, and the males have general psychic powers, but they don't have telekinetic powers or anything like that. You wouldn't want to anger one if you were in the water, though.

Are all merostomatazons blessed with etheric powers? Or is it like humans where a select few are?

They all have the same level of etheric ability as Bud and Lindsey.
